Os Corvos de São Vicente | The Ravens of St. Vincent
This limited RE-edition screen print is based on a street print captured in Lisbon’s Jardim da Graça during the lively Santo António celebrations in June 2025.
Lisbon’s striking coat of arms depicts a grand sailing ship flanked by two ravens. This emblem tells the ancient legend of Saint Vincent, the patron saint of Portugal, whose relics were carried by sea from Cabo de São Vicente to Lisbon, faithfully guarded by two devoted ravens throughout the journey.
Today, this mythical imagery lives on not only in heraldry but also embedded in the city’s landscape, appearing on some of Lisbon’s manhole covers. One of these served for the original street print used for this series.

The ink we use is water-based and eco-friendly. It is 100% free from formaldehyde, white spirit and APEO and suited for major ecology and social responsibility standards: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and the better GOTS.
This print is permanent and can of course be washed.
To maximize the life of this product, wash similar colours together at 30°C. Wash and iron inside-out and use a mild detergent...maybe, an eco-friendly one!
